How to find cheap flights?

We all love flying around the world and travel. Some travel once or twice a year as a form of detox from the daily life, responsibilities and work. For us travelling is a hobby or even a way of living. However, flying is known to be a costly way of travelling. We’re living in Ireland. It’s an isolated place from the rest of the world. Every time we want to go somewhere we are more or less forced to hop on a plane and fly.

We’re flying quite frequently and planes are no less common to us now than buses and trains were when we were living on the continent. It sucks a little bit as our options to travel are a bit limited and most of the tickets are – indeed – quite expensive. But not all of them.

If you’re like us – in love with traveling – you’re probably looking to get to your destination as cheap as possible so you could invest more at your destination instead. We’ve been learning the techniques to achieve this goal for the past several years and we’ve got a few tricks and tips to share.

Atlas mountains by Maciej Zawieja

Snow in Morocco – Rabat & Atlas

In March 2018 I’ve visited Morocco for the second time in my life. The main goal of the trip was to reach Atlas Mountains and attempt to climb Toubkal – the highest peak of Northern Africa.

I’ve made it. Well, partially. I’ve reached the Atlas Mountains and I’ve been sleeping on the slope of Toubkal. My young heart had synchronized for a little white with the old rocky heart. They have collided and crashed. We’re in a contradictory love. However, I didn’t make it to the top.

Let’s start from the beginning. We’re three friends hopping on a plane to Rabat with loaded backpacks. We’ve chosen to go in March. It was a wise decision made upon previous experience. The last time I’ve been in Morocco it was July. The temperatures were reaching 45 degrees.

Melting at Lycian Way trek, Turkey

Sea, mountains, valleys, history, sun and infinite path are the best words to describe the modern trek following the ancient Lycian Way in Southern Turkey. It is a marvelous and demanding hike which goes through plentiful ascends, descends, wonderful valleys, beaches and villages. I had decided to give it a try. My initial aim was to trek for 9 days and finish after about 170 km walked. The whole trek has around 500 km. I bough tickets for the second part of June which is already a very hot month in Turkey. Well, the area of the trek is also considered as one of the hottest regions of the country. It was quite an unfortunate situation, but I decided to go anyway. I walked for five days. The temperatures were reaching nearly 40 degrees. My path had started in Ovacık and it had finished at Patara Beach. Follow me on these hundred sweaty kilometers of an incredible adventure.

Long way around Annapurna, Nepal

Earth is a wonderful and diverse planet. Every place has its charm, however, there are places which everyone should visit at least once in life. Himalayas – the roof of the world – as we call the highest mountain range on the Earth is definitely one of them. The mountains are monument, the nature is stunning and the landscape is unearthly and hugely differential. Join us at our trekking trip around Annapurna. In November 2015 in two people we were trekking for 6,5 days, we made over 120 kilometers and we reached Thorung La Pass, which is at 5416 meters above the sea level.

Scotland – at war with the weather

Scotland was a dream of mine that had finally materialized. Together with one of my dear friends we had a dream at high school. We wanted to visit Scotland. The plan was to go there with tents for a kind of survival. We meant real survival. It was long before tent has became my second home. We weren’t able to realize our plans. We had no funds and no equipment to go. However, Scotland stayed in my head. It was a hidden dream somewhere deep in my heart. Nowadays, many of my dreams are no longer dreams. Nevertheless, Scotland was one of these dreams that stayed not realized. Finally the time had came. After all these years I was finally going to Scotland.

Ways’n’paths is alive!

Hi!

It’s a pleasure to see you visiting our blog. We are Deniz and Maciej, a married couple with lots of dreams and lots of power to realize them one by one. The better half of us is Turkish and the less better half of us is Polish.

We’ve decided to open this blog right after uncle google has terminated our promising travel application from Play Store. They did it without giving any notice something was wrong and without providing any specific explanation why did they terminated it. Nevertheless, after initial sadness and anger we’ve seen is as a possibility. We have long wanted to extend our activity and we’ve decided this was a moment to act.

We’ve went a tough way in finding a .com domain that would be free and fit our purposes. Finally we’ve came up with ways’n’paths and ways and paths. There is a lot of meaning in this simple, yet a bit long name. It can be understood both as a metaphor to the live we are living and as a direct reference to travel.

It’s a new beginning for us. A new story that commenced on the 10th of September 2018. We have a long way to go to get to where we want to be. We are planning to invest our time in making a lot of valuable content about what we do and what we are interested in.

First of all, we’re going to revive the travel helper app with it’s new name. Unfortunately, all the 2000 users we have already had are gone and they won’t be able to find our app anymore. All our subscribers won’t be able to get new updates and so on (our little advice is: think twice when you choose uncle’s services, they may just disappear). Nonetheless, the new app will be even better and even more successful than previous.

Secondly, we’re going to focus on our new YouTube channel called ways and paths (surprised? =).

Last but not least we’re going to invest a lot of time in this blog.

Please, wish us luck and come back every now and then!

Cheers, dear reader!
